January the First, 2026, Adjustments.

The Professional Massotherapists Association of Québec also named  (“l'Association”) are now adjusting their membership requirements and general requirement of the Province of Quebec, concerning the number of hours and the practices of training in massage school therapy.

Since October 2015, we do not accept any candidat less than 999 hours of stydies in massage therapy school. Massothérapeute 1. not accepted.

Exeption for older members before October 2015 had credit hiurs over 800 hours are recognized like Massotherapeute 2.

New standard hours will be effective January the 1st, 2026.

In order to be recognized as Massothérapeute 2 or Massage-Therapist  2 degree, the applicant shall have completed in order, the required minimum training of 1,000 hours and 2 differents massage technics.( Ex. Shiatsu, suedish.)

The applicant shall provide the proof of his training, (Diploma or certificat and attestation) completed or during the course to be completed. He shall furnish the Association with ne name of the School, its address and phone number as well as the name of the person in charge. He shall also inform the Association of the profile of the courses offered by this school.

For the Association and the members, these changes are made to improve the knowledge and the skills of the technicians in massage, the massage therapists and the other practitioners in related manipulations and in alternative medicine and In order to give to the general public a professional and outstanding services.
